(5 min)

Teacher greets the Ls and asks about their mood, the attendance, checking homework

Ls greet the teacher and answer the questions about the mood

Past Simple

(20 min)

Warm up:

Teacher gives the cards with pictures of the verbs and explains the task to name each picture with suitable verb.

 

1 T repeat the rule about ed-ending.

 T gives asks Ls to play game “Tic Tac Toe” to drill the rule. Ls divided into 2 groups. One is called “Cross” and second is “Zero”

Ls should form the past form of the verbs correctly and then put cross of zero in the square.

2 T asks “Who is Marco Polo?”. T gives worksheet to each L and explains the task to put the verbs into the past form and read the text about Marco Polo. Then mark the sentences as true or false.

Warm up:

Ls name each picture with suitable verb.
